You May Not Like Us
YOU MAY NOT LIKE OUR CHURCH
You probably will not like Liberty Baptist Church.
We are an old-fashioned (KING JAMES ONLY) Bible believing, Bible preaching, independent Baptist church.
We believe and teach that the only way to get Heaven is by faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
We believe that those who reject Christ will suffer eternal punishment in Hell.
We are a soul-winning, bus-running church actively engaged in spreading the Gospel to every creature.
We are conservative in our standards and music.
We are against communism, socialism, liberalism, and materialism.
We are against naturalism, moral relativism, multi-culturalism, pragmatism, utopianism, existentialism and post-modernism.
We believe in a literal six day creation of the world and universe by the direct action of God and reject the theory of evolution as a philosophy spawned by the Devil.
We believe God is real and that someday every person shall stand before God to give account of himself.
We believe the Bible is the Word of God and it is the final authority for faith and practice in our lives.
We believe in the literal, bodily resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that at any moment He may physically return to rapture His redeemed people.
We stand unapologetically for the old-time religion.
If this is the type of church you are looking for, or if you are brave enough to try it, you are welcome to attend Liberty Baptist Church.
God bless you,
Pastor Bill McSpadden
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN INDEPENDENT CHURCH?
As an independent Baptist Church, we are not affiliated with and denomination or ruling body. Because of this, we can support our own missionaries, select our own leaders and support institutions that believe as we believe. Our church answers to Jesus Christ rather than a denominational organization. There are currently more than 10,000 independent Baptist churches in America and thousands more around the world.
WHAT IS A BAPTIST CHURCH?
Liberty Baptist Church is a Baptist Church by conviction and principle, not by affiliation. This means that we believe the basic (King James Only) Bible teaching for which Baptists have historically stood. As Baptists, we believe the following:
- The Bible is the sole authority for all matters of faith and practice.
- The church is self-governing.
- The believer does not need a priest, other than Jesus Christ, to come to God. Every believer has equal access to God personally.
- The Bible gives us two church ordinances:
a. Baptism by immersion
b. The Lord’s Supper
- Each person is individually responsible for his decision to accept Christ as Savior or reject Him.
- The separation of church and state is Biblical.
- The believer is eternally secure and cannot lose salvation.
- There are two Biblical offices in the church:
